Sweating to Improve Skin Health

Perspiration has several benefits to the health of our skin. It opens up pores to rid them of stored bacteria. Perspiration is antibacterial and it reduces the production of pimples and white heads. However, since sweat carries with it the grime from those pores, it is necessary to wash it off as soon as possible to prevent it from becoming problematic.

For some individuals, sweating tends to aggravate skin conditions, like acne and eczema. For these individuals, it is important to avoid wearing make-up or wear as little as possible to reduce the formation of clogged pores and be sure to wash your face before and as soon as possible after sweating. For those that experience skin conditions after sweating, other than on the face, it may be beneficial to wash your entire body as soon as possible after sweating.
